Rare Sunspot AR2844

Post by JohnM »

According to spaceweather.com AR2844 is a very rare high latitude Sunspot> At -43S it is one of only a handful that have been spotted this far from the solar equator. See https://spaceweather.com/archive.php?vi ... &year=2021 for some details . The site at https://www.stce.be/news/234/welcome.html has some more details including a butterfly diagram that shows just how rare this is.

Get some images while you can - pity I am attending the National Astronomy Meeting all this week so will get little time.!
