Phosphine was found in those layers of the atmosphere of Venus, where earlier some scientists assumed the existence of microorganisms. But it turned out that it is sulfur dioxide. According to scientists, sulfur dioxide, which is present in the atmosphere in large quantities, not only can explain the observations obtained but is also most consistent with the ideas about the structure of the atmosphere of Venus, in which sulfur clouds are present.
