Skyrora rocket news

Post by brian livesey »

The Edinburgh-based satellite-launching company has completed horizontal tests in Fife on its 3D-printed rocket engine. Instead of being fuelled by kerosene, the engine will use an eco-fuel made from waste plastics.
Skyrora's 22-metre rocket will launch satellites up to an altitude of 500km ( 311 miles ). It's the final upper stage of the rocket that will be eco-fuelled. The company is competing to be the first to launch satellites from the UK, at a launch site in Sutherland.
