Here are the images from the catalogue, I had this NEW when I was 16, rare now to find one, almsot impossible the Prinz 500R scopes hardly ever come up, the 500s are always available NOT the "R"

complete even with ALL original parts AND a metal 1960s .965 eyepiece

Looks ok but is in bad shape, deep scratches, paint off

A collector's item no doubt. PRINZ were mass-produced 'scopes and the quality varied from one to the other.
I once had a new PRINZ 3-inch/f.16 refractor that gave good definition. The eyepieces were simple Huygenians, handy for projecting the Sun.

£35 when new equal to £150 today, a LOT when father was on that for a weeks wages

Ill try and image through it but the eyepieces as you probably know at .965

Really like the cat photograph! And to ensure that this posting is astronomical...there used to be a constellation "Felis - the Cat", which was expunged later , with the stars now in the tail of Hydra, I hope that the water snake did not swallow the cat!. However there is still some felines in the sky...Leo, Leo Minor and Lynx. Regards maf.

Thanks, I have three rescue cats, two were black ferrel and no one wanted them from cat rescue,
