A stream of satellites

Post by michael feist »

Sunday, 7th March, MMXXI; Just after about 1900 hrs GMT. While using 8x42 Hawke monocular to pick out the various field-stars prior to observing VESTA, while looking at Algieba - gamma Leonis, I noticed a stream of artificial satellites passing down to the left of this star. Often two in the fov at a time and lasted for some minutes. No doubt these 'vermin of the skies' were some of the Starlink satellites listed in 'Heavens Above' as at about 2.9 magnitude. Interesting though to see. Afterwards, continued to view one of the previously so-called 'vermin of the skies' , VESTA, [qv] regards maf
