{"id":2241,"date":"2017-07-28T14:27:53","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T13:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.popastro.com\/main_spa1\/deepsky\/?p=2241"},"modified":"2018-01-16T10:21:54","modified_gmt":"2018-01-16T10:21:54","slug":"2241-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.popastro.com\/deepsky\/2241-2\/","title":{"rendered":"June 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As ever, at this time of year, observations of Deep Sky objects are relatively few.\u00a0 Two section members sent in eight images in total.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Davies\u00a0<\/strong>of Cambridge imaged a pair of globular clusters, M53 and NGC 5053;\u00a0 these are to be\u00a0found around one degree apart in the constellation of Coma Berenices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3427\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3427\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.popastro.com\/deepsky\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/01\/2017.06.-M53__NGC5053_David-Davies-a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"565\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.popastro.com\/deepsky\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/01\/2017.06.-M53__NGC5053_David-Davies-a.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.popastro.com\/deepsky\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/01\/2017.06.-M53__NGC5053_David-Davies-a-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3427\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">M53, NGC 5053<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>They look quite different:\u00a0 M53 to the top right of the image is a V (5) in the Shapley &#8211;
