id=\"caption-attachment-2470\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">NGC 1954<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">On 20th January, Dale observed and drew the face-on spiral galaxy NGC 1954 in Lepus, magnitude 11.8, 4.2 x 2.0 arc minutes.\u00a0 As ever, objects in Lepus are low in the sky and tend to be difficult to see clearly.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Dale&#8217;s seventh drawing is of the recent Supernova in the galaxy M82 in Ursa major, and can be found on the Deep Sky Latest News Page, along with images by Alan Clitherow and the Deep Sky Perseus, also known as the California Nebula.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">For this image he employed a Sigma 70-200mm zoom lens attached to a modified and cooled Canon EOS 100 DSLR
