A varied NLC season, with a lot of cloud and a mixed bag of sightings, from very weak to 50dg high & 130dg wide.<\/p>\n

This shot was taken by Alan Tough on the 30\/31 May 11, and shows a very weak formation, indicating the start of the season.<\/p>\n

My first sighting occured on the 29\/30 Jun 11. A weak filiment taken from my croft at Glenbarry, Banff.<\/p>\n

Another sighting from my croft occered the next day, the night of 30 Jun\/1 Jul 11.<\/p>\n

It was a much stronger display, if mostly hidden by cloud.<\/p>\n

Like busses, it was there again on the 1st\/2nd Jul 11. Taken from my croft in Glenbarry, Banff<\/p>\n

And finally, Jeff Stevens also photographed it from his home in Stoke-on-Trent.<\/p>\n

The 2\/3 July 11 also produced a bright display, but for me also a lot of low cloud.<\/p>\n

Alan Tough got a weak display from Elgin on the 3\/4 July 11.<\/p>\n

While we were all stuck on the ground, Alan Clitherow got above the clouds and took this beautiful shot from the cockpit of his aircraft on the 7\/8 July 11.<\/span><\/p>\n
