I found this story this morning:

I'm not too sure that a meteorite would have such a straight, smooth side to the one in the photo though. Maybe the image is archival and unrelated.
I see that Ender od Days has also published "Impact?" I wonder if the two are linked?

The images in the articles you linked to Andrew are indeed both meteorites, however they're stock photos.
There's an image of the actual "meteorite" in the Daily Mail article.
It does appear to have vaguely chondrule-like features, but no evidence of a fusion crust so I won't be convinced unless it's analysed and confirmed. _________________ Dave

Thanks for the link David.
Are those features a little too big to be chondrule? We shall have to wait and see the results of checks for the abundance of radionuclitides I guess.
