Theres a small asteroid thats just been discovered : 2008 TC3

its a few metres across....

estimates say it will hit the earths atmosphere tonight at 2:46am over Sudan..

so i dont think we in england will see anything... but you never know!

asteroid has a better ring to it then bolide..

whoever thought of bolides?

That link shows an image that is not an asteroid (or bolide) as they assert.
It's an aircraft contrail, probably made by Concorde.
They also get the direction of travel wrong, since it came in on azimuth 281°.

No, Concorde's last flight was on 2003 October 24.
This picture was taken about a month before that and was featured
as the APOD for 2003 October 1.
