Mon, 03 Aug 2015 - International Meteor Conference 2016
Great news is that next year's International Meteor Conference will only be a short trip away from the UK.
The conference will be held from 2016 June 2-5 in the town of Egmond in the Netherlands. Egmond is located approx 45km northwest of Amsterdam.
Hopefully a good number of observers from the UK will make the short trip across to the Netherlands for this conference. In addition to providing an insight into the latest developments in meteor astronomy, the conference offers a great opportunity to meet observers from other parts of Europe and from further afield. There is also a Saturday afternoon excursion and opportunities to socialise in the bar in the evenings.
All talks are presented in English and most speakers are restricted to 15 minutes (including set-up and Q&A), so don’t be worried about having to endure long presentations. If one talk is a bit too technical for you, don’t worry, another talk, most likely at a different levl, will be along very soon!
Keep an eye on these News pages and on the IMC webpage http://imo.net/imo/imc
for further details (the latter is currently focussed on the upcoming IMC 2015 in Austria).
